A total of ten single cask bottlings together form the "An T-Earrach 2022" (Spring 2022) series by Kilchoman.
This bottling matured exclusively in a former Calvados Cask.
The visionary aspiration of the 100% Islay philosophy is expressed in this unique single cask collection.
Carried out by the centuries-old tradition of "farm distilling", the endless possibilities of the artisanal processes on site and outstanding cask management, Kilchoman's skilful variety is evident.
Different cask types, vintages and smoke levels in cask strength are presented.
Each cask is numbered for the release of I-X, each bottle individually numbered and provided with a brief Distiller's Tasting Note.
A special highlight is certainly the 100% Islay Calvados Single Cask with aromas of apple and citrus fruits - a lightly peated single malt whiskey with a phenol content of 20ppm.
Kilchoman prides itself on being Scotland's only distillery to present a single malt made from their own grown and malted barley.
The Uniquely Islay series gives Kilchoman the opportunity to experiment with and present unusual barrel types.
