The English distillers use a small 125-liter cask for their strong Cotswolds Peated Cask -Casks that previously held heavily smoky Islay whisky from Laphroaig.
Converted from staves of former bourbon casks into smaller, cigar-shaped casks, they allow a lot of interaction between wood and whisky.
Nose: Vanilla with light charcoal and hints of dried fruit and spices
Palate: creamy peat smoke, overla red of light fruits and tannin-rich wood
Finish: lingering finish with smoking embers, floral honey and wood sugar
