Bodegas Williams & Humbert is a major player in the sherry and brandy industry.
Founded in 1877 by Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert, the company is now owned by the second generation of the Medina family.
Winner of the National Architecture Prize, Williams & Humbert is Europe's largest bodega under one roof and contains over 50,000 American oak casks for aging sherry, brandy and rum.
Selected rums from Barbados and Guyana mature in American oak barrels in the Caribbean for five years.
This blend is then transported to Jerez, Andalusia, to be stored in high-quality Palo Cortado casks in the sherry house Williams & Humbert for a further three years using the Solera method.
In the last phase of the maturation process, Dos Maderas 5+5 PX is stored for another two years in the Solera process in the barrels of "Don Guido" - a 20-year-old Pedro Ximénez sherry (V.O.S.).
Its triple aging makes the Dos Maderas PX unique, with a bouquet of incomparable taste and aroma.
Nose: Aromas of figs and raisins leading to rich, ripe fruit notes on the palate - joined by tropical spices and sherry flavors accompanied by smoky oak and hints of tobacco leaf
