For the first time in 2022 Pure Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from Springbank presented to reflect the character of the extraordinary whiskey region Campbeltown.
All five malt whiskies from the three Campbeltown distilleries can be found in this Blended Malt Whisky again.
The whisky (matured in former Bourbon and sherry casks) was created and bottled at Springbank - exclusively from all five Campbeltown malt whisky qualities: Springbank, Hazelburn, Longrow, Kilkerran and Glen Scotia.
Tasting Notes: This is what the Campbeltown Loch tastes like
- Nose: initially a slight sweetness of ripe fruit, honey and butterscotch, plus light smoke, some seaweed and iodine
- Palate: light and oily in taste - again the fruits, especially mango and papaya, along with spicy notes and some peat smoke
- Finish: dry in the finish with a balanced mix of fruits and malt , smoke and toasted oak
