Product information "Togouchi Single Malt Whisky 43%vol. 0,7l"
Founded in 2018, Sakurao Distillery benefits from all the know-how of the eponymous brewery in the production of traditional alcoholic beverages.
Under the supervision of Taihei Yamamoto and Wahara San, the brand new stills have been customized to meet the specific needs of whisky making.
The innovations enable the production of more complex whiskeys, bottlings with a higher alcohol content and the production of fruitier whiskys.

Taihei Yamamoto is a pillar of Sakurao Brewery & Distillery with which he has been associated since 1998.
After successfully completing studies in chemistry and microbiology, the Master Distiller visited and studied distilleries around the world to expand his knowledge of the production of alcoholic beverages.
As of 2018, Taihei is back - a godsend for the team that has stuck with him ever since!

The unique geographical location of Togouchi between sea and land, as well as the place for maturation, make the whiskys something special.
The distillery is near the Seto Inland Sea, but the Master Distiller ages its precious liquids miles away at the foot of Mount Osorakan.
The barrels are stored in an underground cellar in the small town of Akiota-Togouchi.
This 717 meter long haven offers ideal conditions for ripening with an average temperature of 14°C and humidity of 80%.
The location helps to perfectly control environmental influences and thus preserve the unique aromatic profile of Togouchi whisky.

The Sakurao Distillery releases their first single malt with Togouchi Single Malt.
Togouchi single malt whisky matures for three years in bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 43%vol. bottled alcohol.

The whisky, which has not been chill-filtered or colored, convinces on the nose with notes of vanilla, apple and orange marmalade and is pleasantly sweet on the palate.
