In the Sailor's Home "The Island Series" Very Small Batch bottlings of special Irish wines with the lush influence of rum casks from the Caribbean will appear in the future.
The bottles are numbered and the alcohol strength is 46%vol. - No coloring or chill filtration.
The first is the 10-year-old Sailor's Home "Caravelle", a blend of Irish malt and grain whiskey, matured in ex-bourbon casks.
After the marriage, further maturation took place in intensive former Martinique rhum casks.
Rhum from Martinique is Rhum Agricole, i.e. made from fresh sugar cane juice, which is clearly reflected in the pronounced fruitiness of the Caravelle.
The limited edition is presented in an elegant gift box.
