Portrait: What makes the Ron Contrabando 5 years.

Company Oliver & Oliver Internacional, based in the Dominican Republic, is world-renowned for producing the finest charismatic and innovative rums, characterized by high quality, aroma and taste.
With Ron Contrabando 5 years, they have given rise to a new brand name, which is intended to refer to smuggled rum on the high seas in the past.

Under Ron Contrabando is usually called rum that is produced outside government control. However, this Ron Contrabando is of course a legal high-quality product and can therefore be enjoyed without a guilty conscience ;-)

Made from molasses, obtained from the finest sugar cane of the Caribbean island, this golden-colored rum matured for five years in the Solera system in old American oak barrels before this was bottled with 38%vol. alcohol strength.

Tasting Notes: How does the Ron Contrabando 5 years

  • Aroma: sweet vanilla, fresh coconut and beautiful tropical fruits are in the Ron Contrabando in the foreground
  • Taste: balanced, complex and full-bodied with delicate caramel tones and a perfect mix of toasted and balsamic notes, originated from the oak barrel aging
