Stauning Barley - Limited Edition: The sweet taste of Danish spring Barley

Stauning has brought pure barley from West Jutland into the bottle with a limited Special Edition .

Unlike many other distilleries, the Danes only get the grain for their Danish Whiskys from the fields around the Distillery.
Spring Barley Laureate, for example, thrives in healthy stands.
The variety has a distinctive taste profile of hops and malt with delicate notes of citrus fruits and honey.

Stauning succeeded in doing this with the Limited Edition Stauning Barley.
In order to best shape the character of the unmistakably Danish single malt, it is first matured in former Bourbon Casks and then in former Ruby Port Wine- and Madeira Wine Casks.

The result: an intense aroma of ripe plums, pears and a charming taste of Barley fields with notes of mild tobacco, vanilla, citrus peel and chocolate.
