The flagship of the Bruichladdich distillery pays homage to the classic style of the Islay distillery, which was founded in 1881.
Scottish barley, a particularly slow distillation and maturation in individually selected oak barrels in the warehouse directly on the coast of Lochindaal make this single malt one harmonious and very lively whisky.
Nose: a brilliant bouquet of sweet malt sugar with a hint of mint and the scent of freshly cut wildflowers such as buttercups, daisies, myrtle, cowslip and cherry blossom - plus spray and carnation, then fruity aromas of citrus candy, honey, tangerine and butter caramel
Taste: wonderfully balanced between oak and malt tones, perfectly combined from ripe fruit, brown sugar and sweet malt
Finish: warm finish with lots of fruit, oak and malt
