Under the name Smokehead, the Ian MacLeod Distillers have been rocking the single malt market since 2006. The modern, striking metal tube with a skull contains a typical Islay Malt.

However, it is not revealed which distillery it comes from. Many whisky fans guess one of the well-known names from the south coast of the island. This is where the heavily peated, powerful, smoky whiskies whose character is usually associated with Islay come from. And the Smokehead also follows this tradition. • Nose: powerful peat aromas reveal what you have in your hands: a real Islay Single Malt Whisky! This is accompanied by creamy, fruity aromas, spicy oak and fine vanilla pudding
• Palate: mouth-filling - almost oily in taste - black smoke with strong peat notes - then strong, sweet tones of grilled bananas follow , juicy sultanas and dried fruits
• Finish: the peat returns! - now paired with hints of Spanish sherry, followed by some sea salt
