Wales is not only known for its national rugby and football team, Anthony Hopkins or the Welsh gold, but also for its unique Welsh whisky.
Age does not play a major role here, rather the different finishes such as in the Madeira, Port, Sherry or Grand Cru STR barrel, the golden color and the fruity, very accessible and clear style.
The distillation is also unique. The unique Faraday copper still is used for this, which is fundamentally different from other stills.
In a single-stage pot still distillation, a very fine barley distillate is created, extremely rich in aromas and of unusual strength and purity.
Nose: to Beinn Trofrauch, then distinct aromas of fresh fruit, especially green, freshly sliced apples and pears - with light vanilla aromas and a little toffee
Taste: the peat smoke again, full and mouth-filling - then notes of apples and a little vanilla develop again - fresh citrus fruits in the background
Finish: medium finish with a lot of peat smoke, the vanilla is now more present
