Slyrs founder Florian Stetter had the vision of an Upper Bavarian whisky during a study trip to Scotland. In the heart of the Bavarian Alps, he made it a reality: With great attention to detail, the best Bavarian raw materials and gentle manufacturing processes, a fruity and malty original is created in the Slyrs Whisky Distillery in Neuhaus am Schliersee: the Slyrs Bavarian Single Malt Whisky.

Mountains on your doorstep, an idea in your head: Slyrs whisky, which breathes the mountain air of the Upper Bavarian Alps and matures there to perfection.
In 2014, Slyrs founding partner Anton Stetter implemented this project with managing director and master distiller Hans Kemenater. They used the ski lift to transport around 50 specially selected whisky Casks to an altitude of 1501 meters, to the summit of the Stümpfling mountain to the unique Slyrs high camp.

The Slyrs Single Malt Whisky Brecherspitz Mountain Special Edition is limited to 1,683 bottles - one bottle per meter of altitude.

Nose: strong spiciness with a subtle smoky note, combined with a caramel-nutty character and intense bourbon vanilla
Taste: exceptionally complex with voluminous strength, present spicy notes such as pepper and nutmeg are harmoniously combined with roasted almonds
Finish: long finish - sweet and fruity, slightly smoky
