First this limited Single Malt Whisky matured for seven years in exBourbon Casks, then for another three years in refilled exMalbec Casks from South Africa.

Nose: creamy vanilla fudge and butterscotch, then fresh cake and thick rhubarb and grape juice.

Taste: delicate peat smoke and notes of fresh red apples, with ripe, black cherries - then freshly baked pretzels, again vanilla and roasted almonds - in the background the flavor of tobacco leaves .

Finish: ash, earthy notes and shortbreads, with tones of burning logs and fresh butter toast

Hmmm, der war lecker. Nachdem ich ihn geöffnet habe, erfuhr ich, dass ich ihn mir nicht mehr leisten können würde. So ist der Preis für die Reds inzwischen abgegangen. Schade. Tolles Stöffchen...
