Portrait: What makes the Santos Dumont XO Palmira special

The history, the label and the color all refer to the historical reference to Santos Dumont and his hometown, which was formerly called Palmira.

After he was known worldwide for As his life's work became known, the city was renamed "Santos Dumont", as it is still called today.

While Cachaça is traditionally made from sugar cane in Brazil, this Santos Dumont Blend belongs in a category of its own.
The golden drops are matured in former sweet wine barrels and rounded off by the fine distillates from the Santos Dumont line.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Santos Dumont XO Palmira tastes like

  • Nose: Aromas of fresh apricots, roasted marshmallows and sweet tobacco, with a hint of honey and ripe fruit
  • Palate: mature sweet oak, soft and gentle, with a smooth complexity - then tropical fruits, sultanas follow along with Noble rot from sweet vine ripening
