Portrait: What makes the Don Papa Rye Aged Rum special

The Don Papa Rye Aged Rum, bottled with an alcohol content of 45%vol., celebrates the  Marrying two unique cultures.
Although the Philippines was occupied by the Spanish for more than three centuries, over time America exerted a far more significant influence on modern Filipino culture.
The Rye Aged Rum was allowed to age in American rye whiskey barrels at the foot of Kanlaon Mountain on the mystical and fertile island of Sugarlandia (the local nickname for Negros) for four years .
It has a wonderfully lively and fruity aroma with spicy notes of black pepper, rich salted caramel and a hint of fresh mint and cedar wood.
This distinctive spirit with its straw yellow color and a deep, intense and velvety smooth taste has a delicate, soft finish with a long-lasting finish Tones of warm spice and dark chocolate.

Tasting notes: This is what the Don Papa Rye Aged Rum tastes like

  • Nose: spicy aromas of pepper, rich salted caramel - plus a hint of fresh mint and cedarwood
  • Palate: velvety-soft mouthfeel with a wonderfully dry mouthfeel , spicy notes, nuances of honey and dark chocolate
  • Finish: long, warming and delicate in the finish - the mint is briefly present again, then clearly the dark chocolate and honey
