The eighth bottling of a Bunnahabhain in the Elements of Islay series.
As usual, bottled at cask strength.

American oak casks and sherry hogsheads were selected for this bottling, matured over 5 years.
Only 1,896 bottles were bottled in 2020.

Nose: dark orange chocolate, sugared peach jam and crushed lemon verbena - rounded off with nutty , ripe Cheddar
Taste: smoked paprika and cumin spices mixed with a bitter sweetness - clearly apple candy and slightly burnt upside-down pear cake - then more spiciness with notes of crispy ginger-nut biscuits and a drop of star anise oil
Finish: weathered leather, raw cocoa pieces and the tingling of allspice pepper, balanced by Danish shortbreads
