Springbank's second bottling of a 12-year-old single malt whisky in 2020 - bottled at cask strength. This 12-year-old single malt whisky contains 45% exSherry- Barrel matured malts, 25% exBurgundy barrel, 25% exBourbon barrel and 5% export wine barrel matured malt whiskys.
Nose: at the beginning peat smoke and moist ashes, then sliced apples, mahogany wood and tobacco leaves - then becoming sweeter with aromas of glazed cherries and cold cola Taste: rich and sweet in a smack with notes of ripe red juicy fruits - especially strawberries and raspberries, then orange chocolate and sticky-soft roasted marsh mallows with caramelized sugar Finish: surprisingly dry with earthy tones and tannins that are reminiscent of Burgundy wine - then becoming sweeter again with the smokiness typical of Springbank
