Portrait: What makes Pastis Manguin so special.

The Manguin distillery is located on France's largest River island - Ile de la Barthelasse - at the
gates of Avignon. 

The recipe for the Pastis Manguin focuses on spices such as cardamom, aniseed, liquorice, coriander, vanilla, cinnamon and thyme.
There is also a shot of pear brandy - more precisely, Williams Pear Brandy.
This invigorates the subtle blend of herbs and spices and makes them soft and round. 
The combination of a rather spicy pastis with the sweetness of the pear creates an incredibly elegant blend. 

The Pastis Manguin is presented in an elegant, distinctive black bottle and offers nose and palate a wonderfully subtle and powerful aroma bouquet of spices and herbs together with beautiful soft pear notes. 
Simply a refined, full-bodied pastis from Provence that will convince discerning palates.

  • Nose: clearly the spices - aniseed, cardamom and vanilla are very present, plus soft pear aromas
  • Palate: soft and spicy - again the spices and herbs, now more clearly also liquorice, thyme and cinnamon - above all the soft pear brandy and ripe yellow pears
