Edition #8 of the series produced exclusively for Germany by the independent Scottish bottler Signatory.
The eighth edition of the Signatory Small Batch Edition is off to the Highlands . Three First Fill Sherry Butts and three First Fill Bourbon Barrels were married for Small Batch #8 and make for a wonderfully balanced Malt Whisky.
Nose: heavy sherry aromas, followed by currants, dates and raisins, followed by roasted almonds and aromas of dark men's chocolate - in the background a hint of honey and caramel from the ex-bourbon barrels
Taste: Berries and dark dried fruits are also present here, followed by notes of creamy mocha and baking spices Finish: the fruits take a backseat, now strong chocolate and spicy oak are present, along with fresh tobacco and some leather
