Product information "Kopke 2008 White Colheita 19,5%vol. 0,75l"
Kopke is the oldest port wine house - every wine in this house tells a story.
The grapes for Kopkes Colheitas are harvested and destemmed by hand at the optimum time, then pressed and processed.
The wine is carefully macerated to extract the colour, tannins and aromas, which are enhanced by constant stirring during fermentation - this is done in barrels (lagares) at a controlled temperature between 28-30 degrees Celsius until the desired level of sweetness (baumé) is reached is.
At this point pomace brandy is then added to make the final fortified wine.

The result is a high quality wine made from a single harvest.
A Colheita wine ages in oak barrels, never less than seven years.
The port wine is then bottled.

The Kopke 2008 White Colheita shines with a golden color.

Nose: delicate honey aromas and hints of candied orange peel, vanilla and dried apricots
Palate: a charming wine in the mouth that mixes refined notes of fruit and barrel aging, making this a seductive and intense wine
Finish: an elegant and seductive finish with lingering refreshing acidity

Enjoy the Kopke 2008 White Colheita with an almond lemon poppy seed cake or milk hazelnut chocolate nocciolato with basil ice cream.
The Kopke 2008 White Colheita tastes wonderful on its own after eating.
In order to ensure its full quality and taste, it should be kept in the bottle for as short a time as possible and drunk soon after purchase - best served at a temperature between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius.
