Product information "West Cork 16 Jahre 40%vol. Sample 0,04l"
The distillery West Cork was founded in 2003 by the three friends Denis McCarthy, Ger McCarthy and John O'Connell founded - two earlier Fishers and a food developer.
The trio got it two top-class consultants on the boat: Barry Walsh, among others worked as Master Blender for Jameson, and Frank McHardy - former Master Distiller at Springbank.
Used for his whiskeys Team only fresh spring water from the nearby Ilen River. The grain comes from Irish cultivation and is still in Handcrafted locally malted.

Typical of the mild Irish Whiskey style, all West Cork bottlings are distilled three times. The stills are only half filled - for a stronger one Interaction between the copper of the pot stills and the ascending ones Steaming.

This single malt whiskey matured for 16 long years exclusively in former bourbon barrels - the result is a soft, wonderfully rounded whiskey with light vanilla and oak tones, along with creamy caramel and slightly fruity notes.
