Winner of the gold medal at the Irish Whiskey Awards 2018 in the category 12 years and younger

After more than 80 years, the brand Dunville & Co. in 2016 her comeback with this acclaimed 10 year old whiskey. Dunville & Co. used Casks from well-known Irish distilleries for this single malt and filled them for maturation into former Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The Casks were stored in their own new distillery Echlinville in Northern Ireland until bottling.

Echlinville is the first new distillery in Northern Ireland after more than 125 years - Echlinville received its distilling license in May 2013
Shane Braniff is the owner, he owns the land around the distillery, on the in own responsibility the barley for the whiskey is grown and harvested.

Nose: clearly tropical fruit and local fruit, some pepper and spicy oak - then fresh Christmas cake and clearly the Pedro Ximénez- Sherry
Taste: green apples and freshly cut grass, followed by banana cake, fresh custard - then candied oranges, dried figs and raisins - above all the sweet sherry
Finish: medium length finish - rich, juicy and mouth-filling - everywhere the Pedro Ximénez sherry and spicy oak
