Product information "Myths & Legends III Compass Box 46%vol. Sample 0,04l"
Myths & Legends is a set of three limited editions of Compass Box.
The trilogy highlights the importance and benefits of blending to all categories of Scotch whisky, including single malts.
Each whisky celebrates the use of blending and questions at the same time a certain "myth" about Scotch whisky, the Compass Box has noticed in the industry or among consumers. Whiskey is about creativity and quality, not categories and prejudices.
The Myths & Legends Series uses blending to explore and demonstrate this belief.
Myths & Legends III shows that no distillery is too famous or too precious to be blended.
Whisky is about creativity and quality, not categories.
Compass Box has taken some of the malt whiskys from the same barrel packs which also in Myths & Legends II were used. In addition, peaty malt whiskys from two famous island distilleries
were added, one from the Orkneys and the other from Islay.
Tropical fruits and butterscotch are now further enriched by a deep and enchanting aromatic peat profile. Do you never hide the famous names? The range of complex
flavors in Myths & Legends III causes this superstitious thinking to be nullified.
The Front Label:
Whisky is about creativity, not categories.
No Single Malt Whisky is too "sacred" to contribute to an exciting blended whisky.
The Minotaur represents the legendary stature of "famous" single malts. However, this Minotaur has left the darkness of the Labyrinth behind. He has grown tired of his solitary confinement and prefers his new environment
among the tropical plants of the label of Myths & Legends III.
The Back Label:
Scotch whisky has a rich selection of stories, myths and legends.
What begins as a myth, however, can become a wisdom that affects our understanding and limits our enjoyment.
Compass Box has decided to question three misleading beliefs about Scotch whisky in this series.
First, blending is not limited to Blended Scotch Whisky. Single Malt brands also dazzle many different barrels from the same distillery to create their own house style. Another myth says that the "region" of a whiskey somehow determines its taste. After all, some believe that malt whiskey from renowned distilleries is too precious to blend in with others.
Since John Glaser contradicts it respectfully.
For Myths & Legends III took some of the same barrel packs of Malt Whisky which are also in Myths & Legends II were used.
Added peaty malt whiskys from two famous island distilleries. Thanks to them, the aromas of tropical fruits
