Douglas Laing's Maritime Blended Malt Scotch Whisky started his "career" as "Rock Oyster" - to make the fact that these are only island whisks more explicit, Douglas Laing renamed the whiskey to "Rock Island"!
It brings together the great malt whiskys from the Scottish islands of Jura, Islay, Arran and the Orkneys.
A homage to the sea using the finest maritime malt whiskys. A truly maritime malt Whisky - delicate, tasteful and rich in flavor with the aromas of the stormy, North Atlantic Sea.
As with Douglas Laing, of course, without the addition of colorants and without cold filtering.
Nose: washed by the sea Coastal rocks and a fresh, salty sea breeze
Taste: gentle notes of sweet peat, smoke and honey - then damp ash, licorice and a hint of pepper
Finish: long finish, in which the strong aromas and notes again clear I come back
