For the "Flaming Feast" blended malt whisky, independent bottler Wemyss selected 15 First-Fill exBourbon barrels and two Decharred/Recharred Hogheads from just two Highland distilleries - one East Distillery, one West Highland.
Nose: sweet at first, reminiscent of candies - then foam prawns and strawberry candies, followed by mineral aromas of limestone and fresh sea air - in the background camp fire smoke
Taste: complex in taste - a battle between sweet notes of heather honey, toffee and marshmallows - on the other hand maritime notes, rollmops, salted crackers, scallops fried in butter with tarragon
Finish: burnt wheat toast with creamy peanut butter and pepper
