The Isle of Jura is the loneliest island in the Inner Hebrides known for whiskey, deer and the 1984 book by George Orwell.
In Ardlussa, in the far north of the island, Claire Fletcher, Georgina Kitching and Alicia MacInnes distill their fresh, maritime-herbal LUSSA gin in a copper pot still.
The botanicals grow wild on the island or are grown by the three themselves and collected by hand and harvested - even the juniper is to be produced in the future itself.
The small batches each contain about 400 bottles that are manually filled and numbered.
The neck of the bottle is adorned with a tartan ribbon by Islay Woolen Mill.
