ORNABRAK is a distinctive single malt gin from Ireland, produced by the small private company Origin Spirits, led by Patrick Shelley, who gave up his career with a world beverage company in favor of his own idea.
Handcrafted from 100% Irish malted barley, the basic spirits are self-made in a four-pot distillation pot-still process, and then, in a fifth firing process, together with five selected botanicals, become a special, ethereal green-fragrant gin.
The main ingredient next to the classic juniper berries are the needles of the native of the West Cork Douglas fir.
The name ORNABRAK derives from the Gaelic word for malted barley, the recipe for the gin was developed in meticulous sensory work, accompanied by the constant advice of some of the world's most renowned bartenders.
