Portrait: What makes Southern Comfort Black special

In 1874, Southern Comfort was created by Irish bartender Martin Wilkes Heron in New Orleans under the name Cuffs & Buttons created. In the 1880s, he renamed his liqueur Southern Comfort.
Heron patented the recipe for Southern Comfort in 1898 and his breakthrough began in 1904 when he won the gold medal at a tasting event at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, the World's Fair.

The Southern Comfort Black has a significantly stronger Whiskey note than the Southern Comfort Original, in contrast to the original, it is actually made on a Whiskey basis and refined with fruits and spices.
