Aberlour's Triple Cask Single Malt Whiskey matured in two different types of American oak barrels and one type ex European Oak sherry barrel.
The result is a single malt whiskey with distinct notes of vanilla and butterscotch, as well as velvety soft notes of black currants.
Aroma: rich and sweet aromas of golden honey, juicy pears and vanilla toffee
Taste: incredibly soft in the taste with pleasant sweet notes of ripe oranges and red apples - followed by licorice, pickled raisins and roasted almonds
Departure: exceptionally soft on the finish - again the sweet notes, then surprisingly spicy
