Portrait: What makes the Tiki Lovers Dark Rum special.

A wonderfully dark rum - a blended rum made from two- to three-year-old Barbados rum and fresh Jamaican pot still rum.
A small amount of a blended rum made from two fresh column still rums from Trinidad and Guyana, as well as a three- to five-year-old Trinidadian rum, is added.

Come Fly With Me
40ml Elderflower Liqueur
20ml Amaro Montenegro
20ml Tiki Lover Dark Rum
15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 bar spoon Bogart's Bitters

Combine all ingredients in a shaker, shake well, and pour into a chilled glass over ice cubes. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

60ml Tiki Lovers Dark Rum
120ml pineapple juice
30ml fresh orange juice
30ml Cream of Coconut
Ground nutmeg

Compile the juices, rum, and Cream of Coconut into a shaker, shake well, and pour into a glass filled with ice cubes. Dust with ground nutmeg and garnish with a lime zest.

  • Nose: Sweet aromas of soft chocolate, cane sugar, and caramel with a hint of spice.
  • Palate: a pleasant sweetness - again the chocolate and the cane sugar - with tropical fruits and slightly spicy notes.
  • Finish: Intense finish with strong sweet and spicy notes.

Ich mag den Tiki Lovers weil er zum mixen echt gut ist, aber es gibt viele Dark Rums und so arg unterscheiden die sich nicht im Geschmack. Hier war aber beim Öffnen der Flasche ein deutliches Aroma da. Dafür vergebe ich 5 Sterne.
