The company Highlands & Islands Scotch Whiskey Company has landed the big hit with this single malt.
Although there is no official answer to the question of which single malt is bottled under the name "The Ileach", the rumors that this is a Lagavulin are increasing and consolidating.
In 1999, this bottling even won gold at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Aroma: clearly peat, fresh herbs and grass - salty sea air behind
Taste: surprisingly soft in the taste with much peat smoke and malt - in addition peppery notes and some fruit
Finish: Long finish with sea salt, peat and iodine
