Portrait: What makes the A.H. Riise XO Reserve 175th Anniversary special

The history of the distillery A.H. Riise is already a little older. So it was the pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, who opened a pharmacy on the island of St. Thomas in 1838. In time, Albert Heinrich Riise began to produce rum. This eventually gave rise to the brand A.H.Riise.

For the 175th anniversary, this high-quality rum-based spirit has now been created. The A.H. Riise XO Reserve 175th Anniversary convinces with multi-faceted flavors.

The exclusivity of this bottling is underlined by the single numbering, the rum produced in small batches.

This special edition of the classic A.H. Riise XO received after their blending a finish in former Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximenez Sherry barrels. This creates a wonderful taste experience.

Tasting Notes: This is how the A.H. Riise XO Reserve 175th Anniversary tastes like

  • Nose: sweet, fruity aromas of ripe berries and wild berries, backed by nuts and vanilla
  • Palate: fruity-sweet, again the berries and soft vanilla - plus toffee and soft caramel - spicy oak in the background
  • Finish: long, sweet finish with elegant fruity tones
