Ian MacLeod's popular Smokehead presents itself since 2018 in a new guise - the smoke and peat bomb from Islay Island.
Nose: strong, with thick, heavy wood smoke - intense with aromas of earthy peat - strong and spicy, paired with a light sweetness - you can see fresh lemons, ginger and thick plum jam
Taste: Almost breathtaking, very peppery, with lots, lots of peat and soot - then a light honey sweetness before the smoke returns to the foreground
Finish: exotic spices and again the fresh lemons, with hints of tangerines - and then comes back with all the strength of the peat!
