Tullamore's Rum Cask Finish was presented in March 2018.
This Irish whiskey is classically triple distilled and finished in selected Caribbean ex-Rum Casks.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Tullamore Dew Rum Cask Finish tastes like

  • Nose: tropical fruits, especially ripe bananas and grapefruit, paired with soft vanilla and mildly spicy aromas - with a hint of oak behind them.
  • Palate: soft and creamy in taste with intense notes of sweet dates and raisins, mango and again the bananas, plus soft toffee and slightly spicy tones of fresh oak.
  • Finish: the finish is long and pleasantly mild - toffee and bananas linger for a long time.

Überraschend sehr gut

Kenne den normalen Tullamore Dew und fand ihn ok, aber auch nicht mehr. Nun probierte ich diesen mit seinem Finish aus Rum Fässern und etwas mehr Alkoholgehalt und bin komplett überrascht von seiner Güte. Man schmeckt die schöne Rum Melasse in jedem Schluck. Mag es durchaus gerne süßlich, dieser Whiskey bietet dies in vorzüglicher Manier. Bin echt begeistert. Selbst als Fan von rauchigen schottischen Whiskys. Mal was anderes. Wenn es so gut schmeckt...
