Special bottling with a circulation of 10,000 bottles with individual numbering for the Scottish museum train "The Flying Scotsman".

The Scottish distillery Speyside is located in the Speyside - under the name Beinn Dubh, the distillery fills a whiskey stored in heavily burnt ex port wine barrels from the Douro Valley in Portugal - the result is a single malt whiskey from extremely dark color.

Aroma: fresh fruits, raisins and sultanas - with dark chocolate
Taste: blackcurrant and much, much more of the dark chocolate - with toasted notes and fruity sweetness
Finish: long finish with many dark fruits and pronounced toasted notes

Fast wie kalter Kaffee mit dunkelbraunem Zucker, Vanille und getrockneten Früchten.
Ich habe jedoch mehr erwartet.

Vorweg: Natürlich ist hier ordentlich Zuckerkulör zugesetzt um die dunkle Farbe zu erzeugen. Wer sich hier von der Beschreibung in die Irre geführt fühlt, ok, aber eine solche Farbe ist auf natürlichem Weg bei einem Whisky einfach nicht zu erreichen...
Soweit daher akzeptabel... leider entspricht der Geruch/Geschmack in keiner Weise dem optischen Eindruck.. sehr leicht um nicht zu sagen wässrig, ohne kräftige Akzente. Rauch? Fehlanzeige.
Also optisch (rauchende Dampflok, dunkle Farbe, etc.) leider ein krasser Gegensatz zum Inhalt. Einer der schlechtesten Single Malts die ich kenne, insbesondere bei dem verfehlten optischen Eindruck.
