Distilled and matured on Trinidad, the molasses rum of the long-closed Caroni distillery stored proudly in old oak barrels on Trinidad for 21 years. In the Caribbean climate, most of the distillate evaporates during the ripening period in the barrels, with this bottling almost unbelievable 86%!
Distilled in the Caroni distillery in February 1996, the rum matured on Trinidad until February 22, 2017, and the barrels were bottled in France in April 2017 with an alcohol content of 57.18% vol.
