For the Dos Maderas PX 5+5, five-year-old rums from Guyana and Barbados were selected, these were blended together and used for further rums. Matured for five years in former Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from the Dos Cortados Bodega.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Dos Maderas PX 5+5 tastes like

Nose: clearly molasses, dates and vanilla
Palate: dark fruits and sweet Sherry, again the sweet one Dates, plums and oranges - then getting spicier with notes of allspice and cloves
Finish: long, pleasantly sweet finish with fruity notes of ripe berries
