Benromach first ripened this single malt whiskey for eight years in first-fill exBourbon barrels, then for another 18 months in former wine barrels from the Hermitage Appellation in the French Rhone Valley.

Aroma: intense aromas of ripe red apples, fresh lemons and mint, spicy cinnamon in the background and a hint of peat smoke
Taste: very fruity - especially black cherries, currants and kiwi - behind it develop notes of mild chocolate and light smoke
Finish: long finish, pleasant fruity sweetness, again the light smoky tones
