Hooray! Since the 1950s, there is now a new bottling of the traditional brand Maker's Mark - the Maker's Mark 46!
For a long time people experimented with different types of barrels at Star Hill, numbered these tests and the number 46 convinced all along, for this whiskey one used instead of the barrel staves made of American white oak, barrel staves made of French oak.
First, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon matures in traditional American White Oak barrels for six to eight years, then for about nine weeks in the new barrels of French Oak barrel staves.
The end of the ripening period is always put on the winter, as the bourbon matures slower in the cold season.
Aroma: sweet toffee and freshly cut wood, with sweet spices, lots of caramel and intense roasted aromas
Taste: creamy and soft in the taste with many spicy notes, especially cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice, with fresh apples
Finish: in the finish again the spicy tones, in addition a pleasant sweetness and caramel - in the background freshly cut grass
