12-year-old Kilkerran from the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland.
70% exBourbon and 30% exSherry casks were used for this bottling.

Nose: spicy oak is present, followed by roasted marshmallows, Dried fruits and pudding, followed by cherries, marzipan and a trace of peat
Taste: initially fruity with clearly citrus fruit and orange peel, then vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and biscuits
Finish: velvety-soft finish with tones of ripe limes - a bit oily and salty, as you would expect from a Campbeltown malt

Kilkerran ist mit diesem Whisky ein ganz großer Wurf gelungen. Ein wunderbar ausgewogerer, aromen- und geschmackreicher old style Whisky bei dem alles richtig gemacht wurde. Für mich eine derbesten Neuerscheinungen seit langem.

Toller Whisky aus Cambeltown. Der erste 12er aus dem Haus Kilkerran-Springbank. Er braucht etwas Zeit im Glas, vielleicht auch 3 Tropfen Wasser, um sich zu öffnen. Die Geduld wird sich aber bestimmt lohnen.
