Product information "Benriach Peated Quarter casks 46% vol. 0,7l"
Benriach distilled this bottling with barbecued malted barley and matured the single malt exclusively in small Quarter Casks.
In these small barrels with only about 130 to 160 liters volume, the whiskey matures much faster compared to larger barrels, as in relation to a large barrel more whiskey has direct contact with the wood of the barrel.

Aroma: slight peat smoke with clearly ripe fruits, especially peach - plus fresh herbs and cinnamon
Taste: the smoke is more intense, again fruity with pears and nectarines, paired with nutty notes and fresh vanilla - some white pepper in the background
Finish: medium length on the finish with balanced peat smoke and slightly fruity notes - spicy

Sehr guter Whisky, sofern man die rauchigen Aromen liebt. Leider ist der Preis etwas hoch, es gibt Alternativen mit besserem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
