Product information "Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition 40% vol. 1.0L"
Jameson is breaking new ground!
Classically distilled three times and stored in oak barrels, this bottling also matured in former Stout beer kegs.
The result is an elegant Jameson with added notes of coffee, cocoa and fresh hops.

Aroma: fresh hay, slightly fruity with clearly apple and peach, then spicy - in the background roasted coffee
Palate: soft and fruity in the taste, fresh with hints of hops and cocoa - behind it marzipan and roasted oak
Departure: long on the finish, slightly sweet with chocolate, butterscotch and a little vanilla

Für mich ist der Caskmates ein ganz besonderer Whiskey. Ich finde die Geschichte mit den Bierfässern so wunderbar!
Ich habe ihn zum ersten Mal an einem ganz besonderen Ort in einem ganz besonderen Moment getrunken, den ich für immer mit diesem Whiskey in Verbindung bringen werde.
Und der Whiskey selbst ist etwas Besonderes, den man hervorholt, wenn man besondere Menschen zu Gast hat die man mit etwas Außergewöhnlichem überraschen möchte.

Auch diesen Whiskey habe ich verschenkt. Der Beschenkte sagt, dass die Lagerung in Bierfässern eine gute Idee ist, jedoch schmeckt man den hohen Anteil von Grain-Whiskey heraus.
