Tomintoul (pronounced "Tom-in-t'owl) is located in the Scottish Speyside.
The distillery is known for its harmonious, gentle single malt whiskeys.

This 12-year-old received a second maturation in exOloroso sherry casks.

Aroma: complex aromas of vanilla, almonds, raisins and sherry
Taste: soft, fruity notes, elegant oak tones and delicate sherry notes
Finish: soft and pleasantly long on the finish

Nach den gelesenen Bewertungen war ich bei der eigenen Verkostung ein wenig enttäuscht.
O.K. fruchtig in der Nase und am Gaumen, aber für nur 40% Vol. brennt er auch nach dem zweiten Schluck ordentlich nach.
