Irish Single Grain Whiskeys are rare - Teeling has bottled a unique Grain Whiskey!
This whiskey also matured in Californian exCabernet Sauvignon wine barrels - these give it the beautiful color and a delicate-sweet, slightly spicy and above all very fruity taste.

Aroma: clearly honey and apples, a slight sweetness with vanilla and brown sugar - spicy in the background
Taste: now more sugar, reminiscent of molasses - dried fruits and again vanilla
Finish: mid-length, sweet and spicy finish

Bin per Zufall auf diesen Single Grain gestoßen, da ihn ein Bekannter zufällig gekauft hat. Er hat mich sofort begeistert, da ich nicht so der Torfdrinker bin ist er eine Klasse Alternaitve zu den Malts in meiner Bar. Insbesondere die schöne Lange im Mund

Diesen Whiskey habe ich habe ich in Irland dieses Jahr durch Zufall in der besagten Destellerie verkosten dürfen. Bin ja eher der Scotch Trinker. Musste aber feststellen, daß dieser vollmundige, fruchtige Charakter voll meinen Geschmack traf. leicht süßlich, da in Cherry Fässern vollendet, wirklich auch dem harten Rauchtrinker zu empfehlen, als Abwechslung. Da er 3 mal destelleriert wird, merkt man die 46% kaum.

Das ist eine echte richtig leckere Entdeckung!

Streng genommen ist es ja Doppelkorn, was man da trinkt ;-) Ich kann mich aber nicht erinnern jemals einen derart delikaten "Doppelkorn" genossen zu haben. Das ist einfach ein ganz tolles Getränk, mit ein schönen weichen Aromatik und einer gewissen Süße.
Den kaufe ich garantiert wieder!!!

Dieser Single Grain besticht vor allem seine Süße und seine Leichtigkeit in Nase und Mund. Die Süße wird der Single Grain sicherlich von sich aus schon mitbringen, sie wird aber noch einmal sehr schön abgerundet durch die Lagerung im Weinfass. Ein durchaus empfehlenswertes Getränk.
