For this single-malt whiskey Teeling chose up to 23-year-old whiskeys from five different barrel types.
This bottling includes exSherry, exPort, exMadeira, exWeissburgunder and ex Sauvignon casks.
The result is an Irish single malt that breaks new ground - powerful and elegantly balanced.

Aroma: clearly fruity with lots of melon, fig and lime - plus toffee
Taste: very well balanced notes of dried fruits, citrus fruit, vanilla and cloves
Departure: long finish with harmonious sweetness, with tannins and oak

Wenn ich es richtig gelesen habe wurde der Teeling Single Malt Whiskey wird aus bis zu
23 Jahre alten Whiskeys kreiert. Die Reifung erfolgte im Anschluss in 4-5 verschiedenen Weinfässern: Cabernet Sauvignon , Madeira, Sherry, Port und Burgunder.
Solch eine Nachreifung ist selten und außergewöhnlich.
Es ist das erste mal, dass ein irischer Whiskey Produzent dieses macht.
Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung.

milde würzige frische Nase, trockener mittelanger, fast sanfter Abgang,
braucht ca. 2 - 3 Gläser zum Eingewöhnen, dann längerer Nachhall aber immer noch von einem besonderem Geschmack (Irish), die 46 Pferdchen grasen gemütlich auf der Weide( fast zu brav), Preis super für diesen Whisky
