Product information "Dad's Hat Pennsylvania Rye Port Wine Barrels 47% vol. 0,7l"
Grundy Mill is a resurrected distillery in Pennsylvania, which had to close the consequences of prohibition, like so many others.
Today, Rye whiskey is being distilled here according to the old tradition, the grain is sourced exclusively from local farmers.

For at least six months, Rye Whiskey matured in new Quarter Oak American American Oak Cask Barrels, then matured in former Port Wine barrels for another three months.
A successful combination of the soft, spicy Rye and the delicate-sweet port wine

Aroma: very floral on the nose with added aromas of fruits and spices
Taste: initially peppery, before the sweet-fruity Port wine notes come to the fore, plus cinnamon and cloves
Finish: balanced and soft on the finish
