Benriach first had this single malt mature in former American bourbon barrels.
Thereafter, the whiskey received a second ripening in former Pedro Ximenez sherry-butts.

Aroma: Honey, sultanas and dark chocolate dominate the aroma - clearly the sherry
Taste: creamy with lots of honey, some papaya, rose petals, eucalyptus and again the dark chocolate - the dark Pedro Ximenez sherry is present
Finish. long, fruity finish with sherry and some oak

Sehr gut und ausgewogen. Rund, komplex, sahnig-süß. Bietet neben feinen Sherrynoten viele weitere Aromen. Einer der besten Standards um 50 ¤.

Wenn ich zwischen dem 12-jährlichen und diesem Sherry-Benriach wählen müßte ... würde ich eine Münze werfen müssen!
