Portrait: What makes the Redbreast 21 years old special

In September 2013, the 21 year old Redbreast was presented for the first time.
The Single Pot Still Whiskey matured classically in exBourbon and exSherry casks - the oldest Redbreast in the standard range.
The Redbreast matured in the darkness of the former Bourbon and Sherry Casks for 21 long years, but the Single Pot Still Whiskey had only one task: to deliver more aromas, flavor nuances and fullness than the connoisseur could imagine.

With an alcohol content of 46%vol. Bottled without chill filtration, the Redbreast also retains an exceptional mouthfeel for 21 years.

The fine wine is riper than a mango in late summer and more aromatic than a fresh vanilla pod - and that's just what it has to offer to the nose.

In the mouth it shines with a mouthfeel that almost out of my socks skin - it is soft, mild and feels velvety on the tongue. Without question, the mixture of malted and unmalted barley plays a major role in the Redbreast 21 year old. However, the decisive factor is the combination of exBourbon and exSherry casks used.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Redbreast 21 year old tastes like

• Nose: very intense aromas of tropical fruits - especially ripe ones Mango, slightly nutty with lots of vanilla
• Palate: creamy in taste, very clearly Sherry, lots of fruit, some oak and vanilla, then slightly spicy notes
• Finish: almost endlessly long finish, very fruity and nutty
