The Irish distillery Cooley produces after a long time today The Tyrconnell, the name of the original owner of the brand, AA Watt & Co. was revived for it.
The racehorse pictured on the label is the famous namesake for the whiskey that was once owned by the Watt family.
This single malt is first stored in classic, former bourbon barrels, then for about 6 months in former Madeira barrels.

Nose: sweet aromas of honey and raisins, with a slight spiciness and some caramel
Taste: very soft in the taste, again the balanced spicy aromas, also raisins and the honey come back, to it fruity notes of ripe berries
