Product information "Deanston Virgin Oak"
The Scottish Highland distillery Deanston fills this single malt whisky without cold filtration and without the addition of dyes.
After a short maturation period in traditional former bourbon barrels from the USA, this whisky is matured in new, freshly burned American oak barrels.

Nose: light citrus aromas, with sweet barley sugar and traces of apples and nutmeg
Taste: candied fruit, vanilla, toffee and heather honey
Finish: delicate and slightly spicy, again the honey and a sweet oak note

Hallo, über ihr Angebot des single Malts habe ich mich sehr gefreut. Immerhin bieten Sie hier einen Whiskey der ohne Farbstoffe auskommt und herausragend mundet.

Sträflich unterschätzt.

Der Deanston Virgin Oak ist ein großartiger Whisky zum (noch) kleinen Preis. Es ist eine nicht kühlgefilterte, nicht gefärbte Abfüllung mit Bio-Charakter. Der Whisky reifte vermutlich 6-8 Jahre, aber die Jugend ist wirklich wunderbar gemacht: kandierte Süße mit deutlicher Eiche ergeben einen wirklich zu lobenden Whisky, der viel zu bieten hat. Er hat sich zu einem meiner Favoriten gemausert.
